Valentine’s Day is often thought of as the holiday for romance, which usually implies both a male and a female.  However, to most it is a woman’s romantic day, which is why panic usually starts to strike most guys around February as they realize they are running out of time to surprise their significant others.

However, all it not lost because there are a few tips that can help a procrastinator salvage the day starting with learning about how to truly get a woman the gift she wants.  The best way to start is to consider the personality of the woman that you are shopping for.  For example, a woman that likes to collect keepsakes, photographs, and identifies a song as ‘your song’ is going to be the kind that wants a romantic Valentine’s Day celebration.

The perfect gift for her will usually follow traditional lines such as flowers at work, a romantic dinner at a place you do not usually dine for the evening, and some chocolates and wine at home by the fire to seal the deal.

On the other hand, a woman that is more active and outgoing will demand a different train of thought to complete her weekend.  This type of woman is the one that likes to ski, workout and spend time outside hiking.

For her a date at a rock climbing gym or out on the town at a dance club may be a better fit.  This does not mean that she does not still want dinner, but less traditional and more health orientated may be a better fit.
